The Chevrolet^® models from 1955, 1956 and 1957 are often grouped together and referred to as the “Tri-Fives”. While all three are considered to be among the most influential autos of the time, the ’56 frequently would receive less attention than the models that preceded and followed it. Finally, the “middle model” ’56 is gaining the respect that eluded it for years and today it’s a fixture on the classic and show car circuit. The 210 Del Ray^TM coupe was a mid-line entry with added trim inside and out over the base model but at a lower cost than the BelAir^TM and it was popular with the public, putting over 56,000 copies out the showroom door.
