HO P3 PRR J1a 2-10-4 #6410 Steam Loco DC/DCC..
During WWII, the
Pennsylvania Railroad found itself in dire need of motive power. Due to
War Production Board requirements, no new designs were allowed, so the
Pennsy tested various engines and selected a 12-year-old C&O
design – the T1 2-10-4, which was built by Lima. The new “Texas” type
on the PRR was a near duplicate of the first super-large 2-10-4 of the
C&O.
